BONDING
Repair. Refined.

Composite resin material used in tooth bonding can match the shade, translucency and texture of your teeth can be used to fix just about any problem, including chips, cracks, discoloration, gaps, building up worn down areas and making a crooked tooth appear straight.

Resin material can even be used to build an entire set of veneers. It's a huge misconception that veneers can only be made of porcelain. In fact, there has been excellent, natural-looking results using composite resin bonding, which is a very long-lasting and versatile material.

The key lies in the dentist's understanding of the tooth structure, the science of color and the artistic ability to sculpt the teeth. As a board-certified prosthodontist, Dr Barsky has advanced specialty training in creating optimal oral aesthetics.

During the process, a diluted acid is applied to the tooth enamel to produce a surface which looks like a series of microscopic mountains and valleys. This area is then filled with a liquid plastic that adheres to the surface of the tooth when hardened and allows the further bonding of a composite filling material. This composite can be artistically shaped into the form and color of a natural-looking tooth. The average tooth bonding application may last from five to eight years.

Metal Free Fillings

Caring for your teeth should enhance your smile, not detract from it. Metal free fillings are one advancement in cosmetic dentistry that can preserve your unforgettable smile.

At The MIAMI Institute for Age Management and Intervention, Dr. Barsky uses only the latest composite materials to restore healthy teeth. Once they've removed an area of decay, this composite filling will strengthen your tooth structure for function and aesthetics.

When detected and treated early by our hygienists and dentist, your natural tooth structure can be preserved in a very conservative and comfortable procedure.

Comfort and Function

Our dental practice is designed for complete comfort. With excellent pharmaceutical-grade topical gels, Nitrous, sedation dentistry, and many other comfortable amenities... you'll have more reasons to smile while protecting your health! In fact, our dental team goes above and beyond before the filling procedure, with additional desensitizing materials for even more comfort.

Because Dr. Barsky is a board certified prosthodontist and has been specially trained in neuromuscular dentistry, he takes great care to create a comfortable, optimal bite with your new filling. With a proper bite established for your fillings, you can avoid developing discomfort, headaches, or a broken tooth later.

Superior Materials Make the Difference

The grey, amalgam fillings used in the past can contain mercury, and become darker and more obvious over time. Many people today are concerned about the effects of mercury and their health. This is one reason why our dentists don't use metal fillings, and offer the safest choice in materials.
