Sex has long been the force that excites our bodies and touches our souls. It connects us mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually. At a time when there is a demand for the highest quality of life possible, men and women of all ages are turning to medical professionals in order to maintain and restore their sexuality and vitality.

Sexual health is clearly an important health issue that has long been ignored. Improved sex can:

  • Dramatically optimizes our body's functions
  • Boosts our immune system
  • Supports our cardiovascular system
  • Releases us from physical and mental tension, stress and anxiety
  • Promotes good sleep
  • Elevates mood
  • Increases self-esteem

Sexuality is one of the most complex aspects of the human experience. A host of psychological and physical factors are almost always intertwined and can impact an individual's sexuality. Solving a physical problem may only be half of the battle.

If a sexual problem persists it often leads to anger, frustration, low self-esteem, and/or emotional distance and blame, all which in turn can damage a relationship.

 

Our Board Certificated Sex Therapist, Dr. Rhonda Fine is qualified to not only treat the same broad range of issues that other therapists treat, but she has additional advanced training in addressing sexual concerns. Sex therapy can help an individual learn to appreciate and have control over issues which may be inhibiting their sexual motivation or performance. Understanding the root cause is often necessary for a successful resolution.

Sex Therapy is appropriate for:

  • Individuals or couples that wish to improve their sexual functioning, enhance their sexuality, and/or foster intimacy.
  • For those experiencing relationship issues, mismatched sexual desires, communication problems, and/or an inability to control their Sexual Behavior despite the consequences.

Physical difficulties have a wide range of presentations as they pertain to Sexual Motivation, Sexual Capacity and Sexual Performance. These include:
