Our Smoking Cessation Program is specially designed for persons who intend to remain lifelong non-smokers. It includes both medical and psychological components and has a documented success rate of 85 to 90 percent.

Juan J. Remos, M.D., who board-certified in internal medicine and bariatric medicine, directs the medical treatment aspect of our program, which is based on clinical research on blocking nicotine addiction. Our simple treatment involves a low dose of injected medication, which blocks the body’s desire for nicotine. The medication also affects the taste and sensory receptors, helping patients develop an aversion to cigarettes. Patients then receive several weeks of oral medications.

Another essential component of our program is psychological support to help patients change their personal habits. Our clinical psychologist, works closely with each of our patients to adopt healthy new behaviors and personal habits.

Acupuncture treatment is also available on an optional basis.
