Working from within the upper blepharoplasty incision,
a prominent brow fat pad may be thinned and shaped (browplasty)
and/or the brow itself supported at a slightly higher
level by reinforcing it's connection with the underlying
bone (browpexy) using sutures. While the enhancement
may be subtle, this technique is not nearly as invasive
or costly as other approaches. Browpexy creates no additional
external scars or scalp hair loss and will not leave
the face looking surprised. A Browpexy may also be used
to reinforce a slightly drooping brow during upper eyelid
surgery to prevent further downward migration.
