External Blepharoplasty attempts to rejuvenate the eyes by removing the areas of redundant skin and fat. In the lower eyelid one of two approaches is used, depending upon the deformity. If moderate skin resection is required, an incision is placed just below the eyelid lashes (External blepharoplasty).

Recovery:
Reading: 2 or 3 days. Back to work: 7 to 10 days. Contact lenses: one week or more. Strenuous activities, alcohol: about 3 weeks. Bruising and swelling gone: 7 to 10 days.
