Some individuals develop hollowness beneath their cheekbones as they age. An implant that is similar to a cheek implant can be inserted on the underside of the cheekbone. This implant fills this hollow space and creates a more youthful facial appearance. The implant is inserted through a small incision in the mouth in the same fashion as the cheekbone implant is inserted.

Recovery:
Back to work: 1 to 2 weeks. Normal social, recreational, travel activities 2-3 weeks. More strenuous activities: 2 to 3 weeks. Avoid more strenuous impact exercises or activities and direct sun exposure 6-8 weeks.
