A procedure that will improve the appearance of teeth that are chipped, broken, cracked, stained, or have spaces between them. The process involves preparing the surface of the tooth to make it porous. Resin material is then applied, in various shades, and sculpted to proper shape and contour. A special light is then used to harden the material. A final smoothing and polishing completes the procedure. This procedure can usually be done in one visit and may not require the use of anesthesia.

Advantages:

  • Instant results
  • Reversible, in some instances
  • Less expensive than porcelain
  • Easily repairable
